To pass your driving test you will first need to apply for a provisional licence.  You can do this here:

https://www.gov.uk/apply-first-provisional-driving-licence

You will then need to pass a test of your theory and hazard perception skills and following your training can sit your practical test.

Your theory and practical training work hand in hand and you don't need to wait until you've passed your theory test before you undertake practical training.
